Keith Urban has shared his perspective on how having fewer guitars can actually enhance your skills, drawing on a conversation with fellow musician John Mayer.
Urban revealed in an interview with Rick Beato that Mayer once told him, “You can tell when you hear a solo, how well that guy knows that guitar.” Urban agreed, adding that the deeper familiarity with an instrument can be heard in a player’s performance, beyond just the sound.
